The Goddess Inheritance (The Goddess Test #3)

The Goddess Inheritance was, at the beginning at least, very intriguing. We all know that there was a huge cliff-hanger ending the last book, and we now know what Kate's been doing for the last nine months--you know, with her being pregnant and all.

So, this book was a bunch of ups and downs and awesomeness and crying, but it was a very satisfying ending.

Kate can be so dang frustratingly good sometimes and I wanna strangle her for it. I know, it's not good to strangle people for being good, but she's good all the time. And her martyr complex. Seriously. She needs to see a therapist or something. Also, she keeps putting blame on herself for everything, though I should've been used to it by now.

I loved Milo and seeing more of the gods' and goddesses' powers, especially Kate's visions. I really liked Cronus in this book because he seemed more real. And....I don't know. Just real.

Henry was pretty badass too, but he needs to go to that therapist with Kate to get something done about hose martyr complexes.

Ava has been my favorite character throughout the series and I never doubted her once! I will always have a special place in my heart for you, Ava.

Near the end, it was very sad. But it was a very satisfying ending, no matter what. I really liked it.

The book was pretty good, the plot was well-developed, and I liked many things about the book. However, Kate was getting on my nerves again, sitting there and not doing anything. :/ It's a good thing she eventually got over it.

I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.

Goddess Interrupted (The Goddess Test #2)

Goddess Interrupted was much better than the first book. However, it was not so great, once I thought about it.

I was so very frustrated with everyone in here. Except Ava. She acted pretty much the same and wasn't as annoying.

So, this is the continuation of The Goddess Test. James and Kate just got back from their vacation and it's now time for Kate to go home. To the Underworld. Unfortunately, there's something big going on and no one will tell her what it is.

When she finally finds out what it is, she blames everything on herself. Kate, if I didn't know better, I'd say you were a freaking masochist, but I have this feeling that you're not. You're so ready to be a martyr! Stop it! Just...stop! I have so many problems with all the blame that you're taking on yourself for things that have nothing to do with you! Argh!

Henry is captured after treating Kate pretty badly. I get that he doesn't know how to show the affection. I really do get it. But he could've kissed her or something, and all the misunderstanding and bad feelings between them would've just gone away in the first place! When they finally started talking near the end, I was so happy. Finally they would get over everything! But no. Not everything happens how it should.

Persephone is back, and she's an annoying bitch, for the most part. I won't say for all of it, but mostly, yes. She does things only if it means she'll benefit. It's so freaking annoying.

Henry shows Persephone more affection than Kate. Wow. That pissed me off. I can't even.

Calliope is back and crazier than ever. The insane woman actually thinks she'll kill Kate. HA.

This whole thing was very frustrating! All the misunderstandings and everything where any normal person would've probably been able to solve it sooner!

I did like the plot development, though. I will say that. Really, the book wasn't all that bad, the characters were just very frustrating at times. You may see it differently, I don't know. Go see for yourself.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

The Goddess Hunt (The Goddess Test #1.5)

So, we all know that Kate was going to go on vacation in Greece with James, riiight? So what could go wrong? Well, she is taking a vacation with the god of mischief. It wouldn't have hurt her to doubt for just a minute.

So James and Kate supposedly get 'lost' and run into a couple of Henry and Walter's old friends....or is that age-old enemies?

Pollux and Castor, who are now Lux and Casey, are already on the bad sides of nearly every god and goddess... Except James.

This novella is really about all the flaws of the gods. Kate has been idolizing them and she needed to wake up from that stupor... Thank you, James.

This book was perfect, especially to prepare for the next book in the series. This starts Kate on getting out of the state of mind where all gods are perfect and stuff. I liked this novella. It also gave more insight into the gods and goddesses and more of who they really are. It showed the impact Kate is having on them. I liked it, but not a whole lot.

I give this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.
